Expand the section to find out more on what diagnostic methods TCM physicians use during a consultation.
TCM uses the diagnostic method:
Observation- observation of the body which includes movement and posture, vitality and tongue
Auscultation and Olfaction - listening to any sounds produced by the patient and smelling for any odour
Inquiring - asking patients for their symptoms
Palpation - Examining the pulse
TCM physicians use this diagnostic method to gather information about your body, evaluate your body constitution and provide a TCM diagnosis syndrome based on this information. TCM herbs and acupuncture can then be prescribed and catered to you based on your body constitution and TCM diagnosis syndrome.
