Inositol is a naturally occurring compound found in various types of foods. It plays a vital role in metabolism, fertility, mood regulation, and more! 

1. The Inositol – PCOS Connection 


Perhaps you have heard of inositol as a recommendation for women with PCOS. There is growing evidence that imbalances in 2 particular forms of inositol, myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol, causes insulin resistance in PCOS women. Insulin resistance is the underlying cause for PCOS


Modern research proved that myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol have positive effects in reducing insulin resistance, improving glucose/insulin ratios and even cholesterol levels!

2. Myo-Inositol May Improves Fertility


There’s emerging evidence supporting the use of Myo-Inositol for the use in PCOS fertility treatments.

One study showed that PCOS women who took myo-inositol + folic acid during IVF were 3x more likely to get pregnant

3. Safety and Side effects 


Myo-inositol is considered a safe supplement.


 The side effects associated with Myo-inositol supplementation are rare, and usually limited to mild stomach upset in unusually high doses.  Also, there is currently no evidence to suggest that Myo-inositol supplements having negative interactions with other supplements or drugs.
